Mainstream Mockery

I didn't watch the opening ceremonies of the Olympics but I sure heard about this blasphemy. It's one thing when Satanists do this kind of thing but it's entirely another when it's mainstream.

This should bother people even if they don't believe in God. The people in power are tipping their hand and showing us exactly whom they serve. It's right in our faces. This is pure evil, and it's going to get much worse.

Of course there are people coming out and saying that this isn't what it seems and that it's not mockery. Bullshit. They say it's trying to show that Jesus loves everyone, even drag queens. That's absolutely true, but it's still mockery, and they can't spin it. People are waking up to the official bullshit. The Olympics shouldn't be about this kind of thing, right?

Again, while it's perfectly okay to mock Jesus, see what would happen if they tried to mock ANY other religious figure. One guy was taking about this and he said that if they'd tried to mock "Mo" or "Al" it would be the end of France. I say the entire Olympic committee would have to go into hiding. I'd bet Mr. Rushdie would agree with that.

I don't see how this kind of thing doesn't get people thinking about all this, but many people aren't bothered at all by pure blasphemy. I get that some people don't see it that way, and some actually enjoy it. The same people though would have a problem if they tried to mock Mo or Al. People want equality and that's great...I've supported that all my life, but where's the equality when it comes to mocking religious figures? Why is it okay to mock Jesus, and only Jesus? Can't we mock Al? Nope. They'd order a hit on your ass. Think about it.

If people only see this as "entertainment" and aren't bothered or even think it's funny, that's fine, and as always I support their right to believe anything they want, but thankfully there will always be some people who see this as wrong, no matter how they spin it. For what it's worth, those are my people. God bless you.

Why Hate on God?

My main info guy came on last night with his Thursday night show, and as usual he blew my mind, although his views are the same as mine, after over a quarter-century of research.

He's basically a clearing house for all that stuff. Almost every show he talks about something I've been thinking about, even sometimes blogging about. In fact I just did a post about this topic.

I often wonder why people spend so much time and energy hating on and mocking God, when they don't believe in Him. It's misspent anger in my book, and they could use that energy for something positive.

I figured it was mainly due to the influence of the "other guy," but Mike was saying that he thinks it's because deep down they know there's a possibility that God is real, and if so they know that their lifestyle is probably not pleasing to Him, and that's why they react like that. Good point Mike. I say that about other things, such as resistance to "waking up." The "Bell of Truth" is ringing in their heads, even though they try to mute it. BTW the good guys win in the end. Read the book. God bless you!

The "God Bless You" Test/Finding My People

Maybe it makes me sound like a crazy old fool...which, come to think of it, I am, but for the last several years, if I speak to anyone for more than just a quick hello in passing, I'll end by saying "God bless you!" I really do mean it sincerely, but it's also a test, to see their reaction.

As one might guess, most people lie somewhere in the middle. Some people sort of flatline and don't react at all. Some people nod and give a "smile of convenience." Some smile and say "You too." It's not clear what their beliefs are, but as always I support their right to believe whatever they wish. I'm laying my cards on the table, and by the way they react or don't react, they can't help but show their hand too. It's a fun little experiment, but it's serious too.

Fortunately they're still in the minority, but some people have a negative reaction...everything from the silent treatment to a dismissive grunt to full-blown hatred. A few times it's gotten a little spooky to see how some people react to the name of God. A few people have tried to stare me down as if it's going to get violent. I feel like saying "My bad. Well, 'Hail Satan' then. Have a nice day," but I don't. Those are not my people.

Then there are those who light up when they hear it. They're obviously glad to hear me say it. They're finding their people too. They'll say "God bless you too!" If they can say the name of God out loud, usually they're okay. Sometimes it leads to further conversation, which is always very enjoyable. These are my people. God bless you!
