Before I turned 4 I'd already ditched kid's music and was listening to Jazz, Classical and R&B, but I still remember the "kid" songs. When I heard the "My Bonnie" song, I thought they were saying "My
body lies over the ocean...oh, bring back my
body to me." I was thinking "Are they talking about a disembodied spirit? Why would they make that into a kid's tune? What happened to their body, and why isn't it with the rest of them?" Oh, to be a kid again. I sure did think some crazy shit when I was little. Ha-ha, I still do.
